It's very hard to watch my Olive get older. I have started feeding her Lotus brand dog food for seniors and not only does she LOOOVE it, but I have noticed a remarkable change in her skin condition and general happiness. Her eye issues seem to be less of a problem and she seems generally healthier. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend!

For years, coming home meant being greeted at the door by a very excited Olive. Now that she is older, Olive usually doesn't hear when the front door opens, and I often find her sound asleep...as in this photo from earlier today. Now one of my favorite things to do when I get back is to find her and then kneel down and pet her so she knows I'm home. I love her sleepy bed-head and how she gives me kisses to show she's glad to see me again.

Shot this by putting the iPhone on the ground and pointing it up at Olive. Then brought up the levels a bit w PhotoGene, applied both a TiltShiftFocus filter and ran it through an Instagram filter to make it look like this. Who needs the 5D or Photoshop anymore?

My iPhone app recipe

For this iPhone shot, I lightened the exposure and warmed the color temp with PhotoGene. Then I tweaked the focus with TiltShiftFocus. Finally, I cropped and added a filter & frame using Instagram (if you don't already follow me on Instagram and you want to, I'm "julesbianchi.") Tomorrow I think I'll load up the "before" photo so you can see the difference!

I do wish the Instagram photos would SAVE at a higher resolution. If you know how to make that happen, please let me know!
