With the flash
To continue with my post from yesterday, I put a flash with a snoot pointing right at Olive off to my left and fired it using my Canon STE2 Speedlite Transmitter. My goal was to match Olive's face with the light on the couch so that the exposure was the same, and I wouldn't lose the pretty rim around her head. I think it worked very nicely!

Jules this is great! Thank you for the comparison shots. It really helps me to see that flash shots don't have to look like a full blast of flash in the face. This light is lovely.
