Testing my 24-70mm lens

Yesterday I made the mistake of over-stuffing my Shoot Sac. When I picked it up, my 24-70 slipped out and went crashing to the cement floor of my studio. Luckily it only dented the front where the lens cap goes, not the back where it attaches to the camera. Today I'm doing some tests to make sure it actually still functions properly. Seems okay....

i did exactly the same thing but out of a boda bag, smashed the filter and bent the filter ring and focused with a grind so was a dead squib so you are lucky

If you really want to check Jules, you might want to get one of these SpyderLensCal

It will help you check your lenses for focus problems. You have microfocus adjustment on your 5D Mark II- so you should be able to make corrections if things are out

The same thing happened to me...I am never putting another lens in a Shootsac again. It wasn't even overloaded...YIKES. That was a $1500 disaster.
