Famous pets

Matilda belongs to two of my favorite clients, Stephanie & John. I had looked online and read that Lassie's paw-prints were amongst all of the famous hand-prints in front of the Chinese Theater. I thought it would be fun to shoot the dog's paws with Lassie's paw-prints, so we headed over there. There were TONS of tourists, and it was really hot. Pretty shortly after we began scanning the cement in front of the theater, we were told the dogs weren't allowed. John stood with them in the shade while Stephanie and I still searched. We never found them. We did, however, find the hoof prints of Roy Roger's horse, Trigger. I asked if we could take pictures there and the guard say YES... But I don't think he understood that I wanted shots WITH the dogs. John quickly brought them over, and I tried to get a good shot before we were noticed. I had taken about three frames before we got kicked out. That's when we headed on down to Lassie's Star which are the images that ended up in the book.
