Olive's movie career

My assistant, Jessica, is an actress, and she is the one who wanted to take Olive and her dog, Oscar, to Paramount Studios. I think the headshots might have been her idea, too. Getting the shot of the two dogs looking hopefully at the guard as he considered their headshots was really hard to do! Dogs are not only not allowed on the Paramount lot, they aren't even allowed up to the Guard Gate. After a LOT of sweet talking, one of the guards agreed to meet us at the street corner in front of Paramount. He came over and said, "you have 5 minutes", so of COURSE the dogs wouldn't cooperate. They wouldn't sit at the same time or look at him at the same time. I finally had to PhotoShop two images together to get the one we used in the book. I'm so appreciative of that guard because I think the dogs having headshots for their Paramount adventure was what made this part of the book great.
